Diana Li

Visual Artist, Organizer

Diana Li is an artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently residing in Huchiun, unceded Ohlone land. Diana’s work is eclectic and evolving, from sound and video installations glitching diasporic memories, crochet affirmation clothing and accessories, to linocut prints of mythological creatures. A self-proclaimed “hija de chifa y chicha,” Diana traverses time and space to remix lost and forgotten cultural memories of their Chinese Cantonese and Peruvian ancestry. Diana has also worked as an arts organizer and served as the Director of the Asian American Women Artists Association (AAWAA) from 2020-2024. With 10 years of experience volunteering, curating and managing multiple exhibitions, programs and festivals through various Asian American focused organizations–like Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center, Kearny Street Workshop and AAWAA–Diana has worked to uplift and empower a diverse community of artists. In 2024, she made a shift and is now studying Landscape Horticulture at Merritt College.
