About the event
“Directions in Music Making by Asian American (and Canadian!) Improvisers” is a brunch concert series on four consecutive Saturdays in January 2024. The series will feature bassist and bandleader Chris Trinidad’s trio with saxophonist and composer Francis Wong, and drummers Aaron Kierbel and Carrie Jahde. Performances will be held at the Sky Cafe in South San Francisco, and feature the following artists:
- Jazz Poet Genny Lim (January 6)
- Flutist Erika Oba (January 13)
- Kulintang artist Conrad J. Benedicto (January 20)
- Guitarist Karl Evangelista (January 27)
