The Vietnamese word, “Duyên” and Korean word, “Inyeon”, both describe cultural concepts of fate, providing explanations as to why certain beings meet in certain places and times. Together, we explore our connection as Asian men working to heal what has been passed down to us and what it means to choose life in the face of grief. Are the bonds we make in this lifetime a coincidence or is our healing truly intertwined?
